This case study was conducted for a three-year-old girl with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms caused by witnessing death of her mother. She showed separation anxiety with her father, emotional instability, and irritability. Psychological assessments revealed R/O PTSD, anxiety of separation from her father, and her father¡¯s mild PTSD. A total of 21 play therapy sessions were administered. Until the middle stage of the sessions, the child was very sensitive about the absence of play materials and she was easily irritated and depressed. Her emotional control and positive emotion was
improved and she mourned over the death of her mother. According to the post-psychological assessments, she perceived her mother¡¯s death and use of avoidance strategy was low. She felt more empathy and affection was expressed in MSSB. However, she still had PTSD symptoms, implying the need for administering cognitive behavioral treatment for a child with PTSD.
